20 DUHR Claude claude.duhr@uclouvain.be mc I work on the development of FeynRules, a Mathematica package for deriving Feynman rules from a Lagrangian and for implementing BSM models into several Monte Carlo tools in an automated way. I would like to attend the Les Houches workshop, and in particular the "Tools and Monte Carlos" Working Group in order to work in close contact with the developpers of the different MC tools on interfacing FeynRules to the existing MC codes and to work on the explicit implementation of new BSM models into those tools via FeynRules. 23 FRANCAVILLA Paolo paolo.francavilla@cern.ch nlm mc The goal of my Ph.D. is the measurement of the inclusive jet cross section with the first data taken at LHC. I am working to check the jet energy scale calibration in the high pT region for the ATLAS experiment. The  technique that I am studying relies on the reconstruction of jet pairs on the same side of the event and is sensitive to the description of hard multi-jet configurations, to split-merge effects of different jet algorithms, as well as to how reliably the generators can predict energy- and particle-flows in the inter-jet region. I am doing part of these studies within the MC Network. I will study the influence of event generators, particularly hadronization and underlying event effects on these jet-physics aspects. Summary: SM and NLO Multi-leg: IR-safe jet algorithms Tools and Monte Carlos: Monte Carlos and Tuning Validity of tunes and Uncertainty Bands Tuning in the presence of matching Jets and Energy Flows: Jet Substructure QCD radiation patterns New Jet Algorithms Jet Calibration SESSION 1

25 FUKS Benjamin fuks@cern.ch mc The main topic of my project relates to the new MC tool FeynRules, from the side of the development and the validation of the implementation of various BSM theories. The concerned models are the MSSM both in the usual case and with general phases and mixings, the NMSSM, the R-parity violating MSSM, a four generations theory with right-handed neutrinos, and effective gravity models. I would like to attend Les Houches in order to be able to work together with FeynRules, MadGraph and Sherpa experts attending the workshop in order to validate and compare FeynRules-based results with previous "stock" implementations. SESSION 2
